Holidays are just around the corner which means its time to lock down school holiday activities. If you’re looking for some fun, active things to do these holidays, then look no further – St Peters has it all!
Here are some of our favourite school holiday activities in St Peters – all conveniently located in one spot with parking and a café on site too!
Perfect for kids of all ages, the Sydney Indoor Rockclimbing Gym never disappoints. The kid’s room at the front is perfect for little ones, for those with a little less experience who want to test things out, or for anyone wanting to begin conquering their fear of heights. Our favourites are the butterfly and balloon walls. The freestanding ladder also gets big props too. But be warned, the cargo net is super deceiving!
There are two other rooms that are perfect for your little spider monkey…or your big ones too! High climbs, timers for racing, stalactites and more! Our personal fav is the addition of the caves – a pitch black system of crawl spaces through the walls where you have to navigate your way through.
Rain or shine, rockclimbing is the perfect holiday activity to keep kids moving. Find out more by visiting their website
The Sydney Trapeze School is the place to be for high-flying fun and crazy circus activities. Kids LOVE the flying trapeze. It’s always a little nerve-wracking at the start – the heights, the ladder, standing on that platform. But the thrill of soaring through the air is amazing and only surpassed by the feeling of pride and accomplishment.
Personally, I’m a silks fan. I love being able to climb and twist myself into different shapes and positions in the air. Definitely a workout, that’s for sure! No matter what you’re into, STS has something for you Trapeze, Silks, Lyra, Acro, Trampolining… there’s so much on offer each and every day of the week so be sure to check out their website to learn more.
We LOVE the Sydney Clay Studio for a super creative and sensory experience. The incredible Agatha is so skilled and a wonderful teacher to boot. She provides heaps of options of different things to make – little roses, snowmen, animals, teacups and teapots, pendants and more – and gives tips on how to craft them perfectly. There’s a stack of fun tools to use to prod, score, scrape, and cut the clay into whatever your heart desires. We always find that a clay-making session brings out the inner artist and also really centres and calms kids as they roll, knead and press the clay into shapes.
Once your masterpiece has been shaped to perfection its time to get your glaze on. There are heaps of different colours and different types of glazes – some bright others more pastel. When you’re done, the lovely Agatha whisks your works away to air dry before being properly glazed and then popped in the kiln for firing. A week or so later your works will be ready to take home or give as beautiful gifts.
